2015 Terracea Spring Mountain District Riesling
Terracea profiles Riesling from the terraced volcanic ridges of Napa Valley’s Spring Mountain District. This mountainous area’s more extreme temperatures accentuate the varietal characteristics of Riesling and preserve a vibrant acidity. Laura balances this acid by stopping fermentation before all the fruit’s natural sugar is consumed and by aging the wine on the lees for several months. The finished wine has a creamy minerality with remarkable intensity—bright, compelling and unique.
"The 2015 Terracea shows intense aromas of rose water, chamomile and mustard flowers, orange marmalade, honey blossom and vanilla bean. Full, silky body, with a round palate. Off dry with a hint of orange zest and honey. Crisp, long finish."

The Riesling’s tropical fruit and ginger aromas complement this citrusy ceviche, and the wine’s touch of residual sugar balances the subtle chile heat.
