2014 Latro Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Latro takes its name from the Latin word for “hunter,” a reference to Knights Valley’s history as a private hunting reserve before the development of vineyards in the area. Hard, inhospitable mountain soils restrict root development, which creates smaller berries and lower yields that bring distinctively mineral notes to this 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon. The darkly handsome result is a charismatic and versatile wine with instant, irresistible appeal.
"The 2014 Galerie Knights Valley Latro Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark purple wine with notes of red and black berries, dried herbs, Umami, smashed rocks and white chocolate or mocha. Full palate with big pure tannins yet an elegant, long finish with ripe dark fruit and lingering minerality."
- Winemaker Laura Díaz Muñoz
This Cabernet’s forest-floor aromas are right in sync with the earthy flavor of farro and the woodsy mushrooms.
